Dubai bourse alters tick system for stocks

Dubai, March 4, 2010

Dubai Financial Market, the Gulf Arab region's only listed exchange, is changing the way it lists stocks in a move to encourage trading, it said in a statement on Thursday.

Stocks worth less than Dh10 will now trade to three decimal places.

For securities with a value above Dh10, the minimum decimal fraction will be changed to Dh0.01 from Dh0.05, DFM said.

The changes take effect March 11. – Reuters
