Atlas Copco introduces new system

Dubai , July 19, 2007

Atlas Copco has introduced a new heat recovery system with a new range of oil-free compressors.

The new range offers a heat recovery system to provide significant energy savings and a fast payback period. The range also features a new compact enclosure of special interest where space is a premium.

Vertical textile procedurcers, for example, will benefit from Atlas Copco's heat recovery system using hot air recovered from the oil free compressed air in the spinning and weaving operations to heat water for the dyeing process; ensuring a fast payback period and savings of up to €230,000 ($316,954) over a 10 year period.

Atlas Copco has introduced an integrated heat recovery system for its new range of ZR75-90 VSD-FF series of water-cooled, oil-free rotary screw compressors suitable for a wide range of industrial applications where 100 per cent oil-free operation is essential.

The new models, housed in a compactly designed enclosure - eminently suited for installations where space is a premium - incorporate fully integrated Variable Speed Drive (VSD) and Full Feature (FF) with IMD dryer options, in addition to the heat recovery system.

The ZR75-90 VSD - FF models are rated at 55 - 90 kW (75 - 120 hp) and provide maximum free air deliveries of 143 l/s (8.6 m³ / min) - 258 l/s (15.5 m³ / min) at 50 / 60 Hz depending on the model.

The new range is also available without the VSD and FF options together with air cooled ZA series models and including a ZR/ZA55 model.

With energy costs amounting to up to 80 per cent of the total production cost of compressed air, together with the continually rising energy prices, Atlas Copco is committed to conserve energy and maximise savings for its customers.Trade Arabia News Service
