Minister inspects Bahrain sanitation project

Bahrain Minister of Works Essam Bin Abdulla Khalaf inspected the ongoing sanitation and roads projects in Ma’ameer area of the Kingdom.

During his visit, the Minister stressed the importance of implementing the project in line with all specifications required for a safe and high quality implementation, said a statement from Minister of Works.

The project aims to link Ma’ameer industrial area and all unconnected housing units to the sewage network at a length of 24km. The network varies between 150 and 600 millimeters in diameter and serves around 500 industrial establishments.

The Minister, who was accompanied by a number of ministry officials, also inspected Ma’ameer’s Sewage Treatment Plant Project, considered to be a unique project given the state-of-the-art techniques adopted for the first time in such a project in Bahrain.

Once ready, the environmentally safe and healthy plant will produce high purity waters suitable for irrigation and industrial  purposes, the statement added.-TradeArabia News Service
