Heavy Equipment enters Qatar market

Heavy Equipment, a leading provider in the sale and servicing of light to heavy equipment and construction machinery, has announced the official launch of its operations in Qatar.

A division of the Alshaya Trading Company, Heavy Equipment said the Qatar launch is in line with the strategy to boost its presence in the Middle East region. The company is already a major player in the Kuwaiti construction market.

Commenting on the launch, Jens Svendsen, the chief operating officer of Alshaya Trading said, "GCC continues its economic momentum and Alshaya Trading is putting itself at the center of that growth. The Qatar market has been witnessing a construction boom with aggressive investments from companies around the world."

"The market offers a wide scope of work in the construction industry today in both the public and private sectors, such as construction of hospitals, stadiums, hotels and roads that require regular maintenance and heavy machinery," he noted.

Svendsen said the company's objective was to play an active role by expanding its network and working closely with clients and partners by ensuring they benefit from the most advanced solutions and services available.

The Heavy Equipment Qatar division, trading in the name of Alshaya International Company and offers a comprehensive range of machinery, forklifts, handling equipments, hoists, cradles, cranes, generators, road rollers, concrete pokers and other equipments, said a statement from Alshaya Trading.
