Damac launches luxury apartments at Expo site

Dubai, March 6, 2014

Damac Properties, one of the largest real estate developers in the Middle East, has launched its latest luxury serviced hotel apartments project in the heart of the World Expo 2020 site in Dubai.

Celestia, a ground plus seven floor complex comprising studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments, will be managed by Damac’s Hospitality Division offering 5-star hotel services and amenities.

The project is strategically placed in the centre of DWC Residential City and close to the world’s largest airport, Al Maktoum International.

Prices start at Dh621,000 ($169,000) and are available for immediate investment. The project will be completed by 2016, four years before the World Expo 2020 exhibition.

“Celestia will be the shining light in the heart of the world’s first ‘aerotropolis’ - a thriving and vibrant new community in Dubai,” said Niall McLoughlin, senior vice president, Damac Properties. “Not only is Celestia set in the perfect location to serve Expo 2020 and Al Maktoum International Airport, it will also deliver residents high quality, five-star hotel standard services from Damac’s Hospitality  Division.”

The modern, architectural design inspires and opulent residential lifestyle, incorporating modern, sleek finishes in a warm, welcoming layout. Celestia also comes with a state-of-the-art gymnasium and health & fitness club, as well as a plus swimming pool, and luxurious spa.

Celestia also has its own retail area, with designer boutiques, fine dining restaurants, and an attractive retail avenue.

Celestia will also come with additional service offerings, including in-room hair & nail treatments, fully-fitted kitchens throughout, 24-hour room service and a dedicated team to arrange all overseas travel arrangements on your behalf.

Damac’s Hospitality Division has also introduced a high-tech customer management system to ensure all guests requirements are met from the moment they arrive in Dubai. Once a guest informs staff of a special request, it will be added to the system so that it is delivered every time they visit a Damac’s Hospitality Division property.

Residential and commercial property consultancy Knight Frank recently released a recent report which stated: ‘We anticipate further growth in prime residential prices of 10-15 per cent this year, supported  by the limited supply of new apartments, rising population of high-net-worth individuals and strong economic fundamentals,’ further reflecting the confidence in the Dubai property market.

Dubai has also recently been placed seventh in Knight Frank’s Prime International Residential Index’s ranking of the top 10 global cities where the world’s wealthy acquired luxury property in 2013.

Damac Properties has completed 9,318 units with 25,362 units at various stages of progress and planning across the Middle East region, as of December 31, 2013. – TradeArabia News Service
