Bahrain-UK trade ties reviewed

Bahrain's trade ties with Britain were discussed during a key visit to the UK by Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro. This follows the minister's successful visit to the US.

Dr Fakhro and his delegation met a number of officials and reviewed bilateral relations.

Dr Fakhro met British Minister of State for Trade and Investment Lord Green and discussed investments and economic, commercial and industrial relations.

The meeting was attended by Bahrain's Ambassador to the UK Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa.

Dr Fakhro also held talks with Arab-British Chamber of Commerce secretary-general Dr Afnan Al Shuaibi.

They reviewed British-Arab investments, opportunities in Bahrain and facilities provided for foreign direct investment.

The Minister and his delegation also met Middle East Association chairman Terry Stone.

The civic association aims to develop public and trade relations between the UK and the Middle East. Both sides reviewed plans to boost relations between the two countries.-TradeArabia News Service
