Xpress Money in Indonesia network deal

Instant money transfer brand Xpress Money said it has entered into an agreement with Dhasatra  Indonesian Remittances.

This alliance will add a further 4000 locations to the existing 8000 Xpress Money locations in Indonesia through PT POS Indonesia, as well as offer account credit services to over 130 banks.

The list includes large and popular banks BNI (Bank Negara Indonesia), BRI (Bank Rakyat Indonesia), Bank Mandiri, and Bank Permata, as well as leading private-owned banks, like BCA (Bank Central Asia).

Sudhesh Giriyan, vice president Xpress Money Services said, “Indonesia received $7.1 billion in remittances in 2010. The immigrant population from the world’s largest archipelago is constantly growing; in 2010 the count was around 4.3 million emigrants.'

'This alliance with Dhasatra is especially exciting as now Xpress Money will really be able to offer our customers the added advantage of cash to account transfers to 130 banks,' he stated.

'The cash payout through the Indonesian post office – PT POS gives us greater network into the rural areas of the country,' he added.
