Suzuki imparts after-sales training

Jeddah, March 16, 2009

Suzuki Saudia, the sole distributor of Suzuki vehicles in Saudi Arabia and part of Baramouf Group, recently hosted a five-day training programme for its after-sales personnel from across the Middle East.

The sessions, which were held in Al-Khomrah, Jeddah, focused on the new Suzuki Grand Vitara, which has been one of the company’s best selling models since its release last year.

During the programme, representatives from Suzuki branches in Qatar, Sudan, Libya, Kuwait, Yemen, Morocco and Iran were given lectures and practical training which they could apply to provide enhanced after-sales service to clients from their respective areas.

The training schedule also included a series of educational tours within Jeddah.

“Suzuki Saudia has always given high priority to the quality of after-sales services it offers,” said Osama Morshedi, after sales services general manager of Suzuki Saudia.

“Over the years we have set new benchmarks in after-sales services and we are pleased to share our best practices with Suzuki representatives from across the region.

“We believe the five-day training session we hosted has significantly benefited the participants, who can now apply what they have learnt while servicing their customers in their respective regions.”

“Moreover, this training session becomes all the more important when you consider that the Middle East region has been witnessing steady demand for Suzuki vehicles, especially for the new Grand Vitara, which has been widely recognised for its strong performance, efficiency and advanced safety features,” he added.

The Suzuki Grand Vitara has created a niche for itself with its excellent on-road handling; uniquely sporty, tough-looking exterior design and outstanding off-road performance, said a statement.

One of the significant changes to the new Grand Vitara is the newly-designed petrol engines. The latest version of the SUV is powered by a choice of 2.4-litre four-cylinder and 3.2-litre V6 petrol engines to enhance performance.

Further, driving is made quieter by a redesigned powertrain and new acoustic materials, off-road performance is improved by hill hold control and hill descent control and braking performance is improved with the adoption of rear disc brakes.

The new Grand Vitara also gets a jazzier and tougher look with new designs for the front grille and bumper accentuating the sportier exterior. – TradeArabia News Service
