St Chris students win Crown Prince’s scholarship

Bahrain-based St Christopher’s School has announced that two of its graduating students have been awarded the Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Programme (CPISP).

The scholarship, which was established in 1999 by Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, aim to provide the opportunity to Bahrain’s brightest, most talented and outstanding youth to study at top international universities and colleges.

CPISP provides 10 fully funded scholarships each year, including all fees, travel and living expenses, to top secondary school students who can prove they have the ability, initiative, and commitment to be the leaders of tomorrow.

The scholarships are awarded to Bahraini citizens only, and of the 10 scholarships, four are awarded to students of private schools.

Yasmeen Zainal plans to study human sciences at University College London, UK; and Samir Khonji plans to study civil engineering at the University of Bristol, UK. – TradeArabia News Service
