The challenges being faced by companies in the training and development of human resources across Bahrain will be addressed by an American expert on January 8.

The two-day second GCC ‘Trainers-Meet-Trainers’ event, supported by Bahrain’s labour fund Tamkeen, will see the business community in the kingdom meet Bob Pike, known as ‘the trainer’s trainer,’ who has authored 30 books on training and enhancing productivity at work, said the event organiser.

Pike will discuss various relevant topics including the new strategies in teaching at the workplace, focusing on education and measuring its effectiveness, as well as the different tools a trainer must use to utilise the new technologies in enhancing new teaching approaches.

Companies and authorities in Bahrain are increasingly paying extra attention to the importance of training, including the small and medium enterprises, said the organiser in the statement.

Statistics show more public and private enterprises are keen to increase their productivity through training, which led to the establishment of a number of training-dedicated authorities like Tamkeen, it stated. - TradeArabia News Service
