CIMA slashes registration fee

Dubai, December 24, 2013

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has announced a reduction in its registration fee to Dh250 ($68) for a limited period.

Students can avail this offer by registering for the CIMA qualification by December 31, said the institute in a statement.

All the registrations will also have an additional saving with their annual subscriptions waived off until December 2014, it stated.

Besides the UAE, the professional qualification aimed at helping students develop their business, finance and management accounting skills is also available across CIMA centres in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait.

Upon successful completion of various levels of the programme, students will receive globally recognised titles, leading to acquisition of CIMA membership, and will be qualified to work across various departments in an organisation, said a senior official.

Geetu Ahuja, head of GCC, CIMA, said: “A management accounting qualification is regarded highly by employers around the world for its relevance to business. The GCC region is no different as it faces a high demand for skilled staff to oversee business strategies and finance.”

“One of our key goals is to address this demand by offering the most relevant international accountancy qualification for business performance and finance management. The courses are flexible and open to anyone with the drive and desire to succeed in business,” she added. - TradeArabia News Service
