A PhD student at Arabian Gulf University's (AGU) College of Medicine in Bahrain has won a US award for outstanding research in the field of endocrinology.

Amina Mohamed Al Awadi's study on polycystic ovary syndrome singled her out as one of only six winners from a field of 5,000 applicants.

The AGU student will now receive her award at the 16th International Congress of Endocrinology held jointly with the Endocrine Society's 96th Annual Meeting and Expo (ICE/ENDO 2014), which will take place in Chicago, the US, in June.-TradeArabia News Service
