Bahrain to set up new health centre

Work has started on a new BD40,200 ($106,600) health centre in Muharraq, Bahrain, which is expected to open in 2014.

It will have 80 to 100 specialists, said a report in our sister publication the Gulf daily News.

HRH the Premier yesterday (April 17) deputised his adviser Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa to lay the foundation stone for the new health centre.

Shaikh Salman asserted the government's commitment to provide optimum medical services across Bahrain and making them easily available in neighbourhoods.

He praised plans to equip the centre with latest technology and recruit qualified medical and technical staff to ensure top quality services for people. – TradeArabia News Service
