Bahrain sees hottest Oct on record

Bahrain last month experienced its hottest October on record with the average daily temperature reaching 30.8C, 1.6C above normal, a report said.

The average temperature on 15 days was at least 35C, said the Civil Aviation Affairs Meteorological Directorate, according to the report published in our sister publication the Gulf Daily News.

“October 2012 goes on record as the hottest October experienced in Bahrain since 1902,” it said.

“The highest temperature recorded was 38.3C set on October 4 due to the warm westerly winds which were dominant during the morning.” – TradeArabia News Service
