Bahrain PM vows best sickle cell care

The Premier yesterday pledged continuous efforts to provide the best health care and treatment for sickle cell patients.
 
He said the government will spare no effort to bring in medical experts to alleviate the suffering of patients and find effective treatments, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
 
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa made the remarks as he received a delegation from the Al Kamil family.
 
The Premier asserted that unity is a distinctive feature of Bahrainis, and said it reflects a history of co-existence and love among the people.
 
The delegation thanked the Premier for his condolences on the death of Mohammed Al Kamil, a board member of the Bahrain Society for Sickle Cell Anaemia Patient Care.
 
Society president Zakareya Al Kadhem and other members of the Al Kamil family praised the Premier's care.
 
They said the new Hereditary Blood Disorder Centre, at Salmaniya Medical Complex, is an example of his initiative to help patients. - TradeArabia News Service
