Veolia to participate Wetex in Dubai

Dubai, April 13, 2014

France-based Veolia Environnement, a global leader in environmental services, has announced its participation in the upcoming Water, Energy, Technology Exhibition (Wetex) in Dubai.

The 16th edition of the event will be held on April 14 and 15 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

In this year’s exhibition, Veolia will once again be showcase top-performing technical and environmental water, waste and energy management solutions.

Xavier Joseph, CEO, Gulf Countries, Veolia Environnement: “Wetex is unique because it tackles critical issues in energy conservation, water and electricity, including environmental protection and preservation, green building, added-value offering towards smartest cities including energy efficiency management, carbon reduction and resources optimization - issues all relevant to Veolia.”

“The UAE produces approximately 2.5 kg of waste per person per day, so our focus is to help the UAE become world-class in waste management and recycling and recovery of resources, which are prerequisites for future growth” added Joseph.

Co-located to Wetex, Veolia is also supporting the first edition of the World Green Economy Summit (WGES).

WGES 2014, held under the theme “Global Partnerships, Sustainable Future” is the first green summit in the Mena region, bringing together World leaders, united in pursuing a sustainable future for humanity to forge global partnerships that accelerate the transition to a green economy.

WGES is an initiative of Dubai Water & Electricity Authority (DEWA) under the leadership of Dubai Supreme Council of Energy. – TradeArabia News Service
