33 launches set for Dubai boat show

Dubai, January 31, 2011

Thirty-three launches, including both global and regional premiers, have been confirmed for an upcoming international boat show in Dubai.

The 19th edition of the Dubai International Boat Show will run from March 1 to 5 at the Dubai International Marine Club – Mina Seyahi.

More than 25,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which will feature some of the world's most sophisticated superyachts in the Enhanced Superyacht Boulevard and the Enhanced Superyacht Pavilion, alongside the inaugural Supercar Promenade, featuring the latest models from the world’s leading luxury car brands.

The multi award-winning show, will feature its largest ever cluster of SYBAss (Superyacht Builders Association) members, the world’s most prestigious superyacht association, with ten SYBAss members having already confirmed their participation.

“For nearly two decades, the Dubai International Boat Show has been the focus of the leisure marine industry in the Middle East,” said Grant Burgham, exhibitions director, Dubai World Trade Centre, organiser of the event.

“The most respected and admired brands in the industry come to the event to showcase their products and services, and they know that there is no better occasion to do that.

The Dubai International Boat Show provides a perfect venue, world-class exhibitors and an outstanding business platform.”

ART Marine, a leading 360-degree marine hospitality company in the MENASA region – has confirmed at least eight exciting regional premiers, and Gulf Craft, which is exhibiting a total of 14 boats, will announce four global launches at the show.

"The Dubai International Boat Show has been a leading networking platform and a premier showcase event for the leisure marine industry in the Middle East,” said Constantinos Constantinou, ART Marine president and CEO.

“Moreover, our previous participation had been highly rewarding and we are looking forward to achieving the same level of success at this year's show," he added.

Nasser Alshaali, CEO, Gulf Craft, said: “The Dubai International Boat Show has cemented its position as a prominent show in the international boating calendar. Gulf Craft continues to consider the event as one of its most important marketing platforms of the year.”

“The indigenous show is the ideal opportunity for prospective owners to gain first-hand experience of the quality, craftsmanship, and value for money that have made Gulf Craft a major player in the international market for luxury yachts and leisure craft.”

The external area remains one of the most dynamic segments and the largest on-land section of the boat show, displaying an array of high-speed powerboats, fishing and smaller pleasure boats, as well as the latest water sports equipment and accessories.

The expanded fifth Dive Middle East Exhibition (DMEX) the only dedicated diving exhibition in the region, in association with Emirates Diving Association, returns with an even more impressive presence – 76 per cent larger than last year.

DMEX will bring together international manufacturers and local suppliers of sub-aqua diving equipment and services, with live demonstrations and daily 'try-a-dive' sessions.

Competitions, prize giveaways and an exciting entertainment programme with exclusive live performances will be running throughout the show, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
