EMI celebrates 20th anniversary

Dubai, April 30, 2013

Everest Metal Industries (EMI), a leading manufacturer of cable management systems in the UAE and part of the Dubai-based Triveni Group, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

Ashok J Galgotia, managing director and CEO, Triveni Group, said: “We are proud of EMI’s success over the past 20 years which is a result of technical innovation and commitment to customers. We thank all stakeholders for their continued support.”

As a testimony to its leading market position and recognition by consultants and contractors, the company has bagged numerous cable management projects including Central Market, Cleveland Clinic, Shams Gate and Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi, Dubai Sports Complex and Meydan in Dubai, besides various projects for water and electricity authorities and oil and gas companies in UAE, Oman and Qatar.

Recently, it signed an agreement with Samco Canada, a world leader in roll-forming technology to purchase their new state-of-the-art machinery, a statement from EMI said.

Present at the signing ceremony were Ashok J Galgotia, managing director and CEO of Triveni Group; Yadu Saharia, executive director of Everest Metal Industries; Vivek Singh, managing director & CEO, Samco Machinery India; and Riaz Poonawala, head of emerging corporate – Emirates NBD, Sharjah.

Yadu Saharia, executive director, EMI, said: “We are pleased with what we have achieved in terms of our growth. We have always focused on developing long-term relationships with customers, systems and business processes and our technical resources.”

“Now, we have set our sights on a diversification and expansion programme to bring more value-added products and services and also boost our export sales.”

Though the regional economic conditions in 2009 and 2010 affected EMI’s growth marginally, the company quickly managed to implement new strategies which resulted in steady growth rate of 20-25 per cent annually in the last three years.

With the renewed economic activities in the UAE and more specifically in Dubai, EMI expects to achieve even better growth rate in the coming years.

“We value the contribution of our employees and we have initiated a number of employee benefit schemes including EMI Care programme to support the education for children of our labour force in their home countries,” Saharia said. “As part of our 20th anniversary celebrations, EMI will reward loyal employees who have completed between 10 to 20 years service.”

Catering to diverse segments including construction, industrial, power and desalination, oil and gas and marine sectors, EMI manufactures and supplies wide range of products including cable tray, surface cable trunking, flush floor trunking, floor boxes, cable ladders, metal framing systems and accessories.

With the production base in Sharjah, the company has established network of distributors across the GCC region. EMI also represents many leading multinational companies including from Malaysia, Turkey, UK, Germany and Poland. – TradeArabia News Service
