Lite-Tech unveils energy-efficient LED lighting

Dubai, April 15, 2014

Lite-Tech Industries, a subsidiary of Dubai Investments and a joint venture with Philips Lighting, is set to offer an entire range of energy-efficient LED lighting products and technology across the Middle East.

The company unveiled its LED lighting solutions at the ongoing Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (Wetex) 2014 in Dubai.

The company’s LED luminaires lead to up to 85 per cent energy savings, compared to traditional light solutions with a similar or improved light output, said a statement.

The LED light products, suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, includes down lights and panel lights for office, institutions, shopping malls, and spot lights for hotel applications.

Khalid Nashashibi, general manager, said: “The new LED lighting solutions from Lite-Tech offer significant energy savings and long lifetime, reducing energy consumption by over 85 per cent compared to incandescent and halogen lamps.”

The down lights from Lite-Tech have a strong and growing market across the Middle East, both in the form of new projects under way across the region, as well as retrofits, whereby the existing traditional lights can be directly replaced with the new range of energy-efficient LED lamps from Lite-Tech.

“The LED lighting market is growing by approximately 10 per cent year-on-year across the region, and thus offers us a huge growth opportunity. Regionally, LED takes up only about 15 to 20 per cent of the lighting industry, but it is still way below the global average of approximately 60 per cent market share that the LED enjoys,” said Nashashibi. - TradeArabia News Service
