AECOM opens new office in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, June 16, 2014

AECOM, a global provider of professional technical and management support services, recently opened its new office in Abu Dhabi.

Inaugurated by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, the new office occupies the third, eighth, ninth and 10th floors of International Tower, Capital Center.

With an area of over 6,000 sq m and seating space for 700 employees, the new office brings together AECOM’s operations in Abu Dhabi under one roof.

“We are honoured that our new Abu Dhabi office was inaugurated by Sheikh Nahyan,” said David Barwell, AECOM chief executive, Middle East. “Our Abu Dhabi office is a global leader for the professional services that AECOM provides. From this office we export world class expertise, including people, systems, processes and technologies that enhance AECOM’s involvement in projects globally.”

Riad Nashif, senior vice president and managing director, AECOM, UAE, said: “The new office reaffirms AECOM’s continued commitment to supporting the UAE's and Abu Dhabi’s ambitious growth and development plans which AECOM has provided over the last 50 years. The added business efficiencies of co-locating our employees within better facilities will ensure we can continue to stay competitive and offer our clients an unrivalled service.”

Prior to moving to the International Tower office, Abu Dhabi-based AECOM staff were located in various facilities. AECOM has further offices in the UAE, in Dubai and Al Ain, as well as across the Middle East.
