Alba wins top award for safety

Manama, August 3, 2014

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has won the ‘2014 Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety’ by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

This is a testimony to the company’s commitment and efforts taken towards ensuring workplace safety, said a statement.

The RoSPA is a UK-based organisation whose safety awards have recognised health and safety success for over 50 years. This key fixture in the health and safety calendar offers organisations with a prime opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to maintaining and raising health and safety standards.

Alba’s chief financial officer, Ali Al Baqali said: “Alba is truly honoured to receive this global accolade from the RoSPA, which clearly indicates that our safety efforts are being recognised internationally. Employee safety and health will always be our top priority; we remain committed to work towards achieving global safety and standards for the benefit of our employees.” - TradeArabia News Service
