Windows Server products launched in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, March 18, 2008

Link Development had sponsored the launch of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 products in Saudi Arabia.

The launch was the largest enterprise launch in Microsoft's history, and Link Development further illustrate its commitment to the Kingdom by sponsoring the first wave of presentations which took place in Jeddah, Al Khobar and Riyadh, the company said in a statement.

The company has consistently adopted new Microsoft technologies ahead of other companies in order to deliver industry-leading Internet solutions to Middle East customers.

"Our commitment to Saudi Arabia is stronger today than when we entered the market four years ago," said LinkdotNET Saudi Arabia manager Hesham El Beih. "We are proud to include many leading government departments and companies on our fast-growing client list. These include Saudi Post, the Ministry of Interior, Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) and Abdullatif al Jameel to name but a few.
.
"We are also proud to be one of a select few Microsoft partners around the world who are joining forces for this major launch which kicked off in Los Angeles at the end of February."

"We had been gearing up for the new enterprise and developer platform in the shape of Windows Server 2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008," says Link Development CEO Hanan Abdel Meguid.

"Now with its arrival we joined forces to explain in detail about Microsoft’s tools and technologies that will help IT professionals and developers work impressively,” he said.

"The launch programme drew 3000 visitors from all sectors of Saudi government and business and provided them with an early opportunity to experience the new Microsoft products, and also participate in Q & A sessions. Experts from Microsoft and Link Development were on hand to network. The icing on the cake was that everyone who attended left the events with all 3 new products to try," said Abdel Meguid. – TradeArabia News Service
