du extends roaming to 300 networks worldwide

UAE's new integrated telecom operator du said its roaming services will now be available at 300 leading telecom operators spread across 120 countries.

The company, which began operation only 18 months ago said du mobile customers travelling outside the UAE can now access a range of services ranging from voice calls, data services, mobile internet and even 3G services, such as video calling, on select networks.

Farid Faraidooni, EVP Commercial, du, said: "The world is truly an oyster for our valued customers. We are constantly upgrading our agreements to cover more and more networks around the world.

"The 300 network mark, in just 18 months of operations, is a testimony to our commitment to enable our customers to stay in touch with their loved ones or conduct business wherever they go.”

Roaming service is active by default on all du monthly plan lines for UAE nationals. Expatriates living in the UAE can activate the roaming service on their monthly plan lines by visiting any du shop.

Pay as you Go and Visitor Mobile Line subscribers can also enjoy roaming services from day one as the roaming service is already active on their du prepaid lines.

du Pay as you Go and Visitor Mobile Line subscribers can enjoy receiving calls and sending and receiving SMS through all 300 foreign mobile network which du has tied-up with.

While Monthly plan can enjoy outgoing calls to any international destination, du Pay as you Go and Visitor Mobile Line subscribers can also enjoy making outgoing voice calls in Egypt, Pakistan, Oman, Germany, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

du is striving to expand the list of the countries where Pay as you Go mobile subscribers can make outgoing voice calls.

While roaming du subscribers will also be able to access their Voice Mail service by calling +XXX XX 5678161, or to call du Customer Care by dialling +XXX XX 5678155. - TradeArabia News service
