Qtel reveals 'Nojoom' rewards program details

Doha, May 31, 2009

Qtel (Qatar Telecom) has revealed full details of its new Nojoom rewards programme, one of the most advanced customer benefit initiatives ever unveiled in the region.

The Nojoom programme has been designed to thank Qtel’s customers for their engagement with the company, which has served the Qatari market for more than 20 years. It operates by providing points for each Qatari Riyal spent on Qtel services, and enables customers to spend these points on a wide range of gifts and experiences.

Qtel’s Nojoom programme will offer up to 20 opportunities to accumulate points every day. Premium partners including Qatar Airways and Virgin Megastores will help ensure that the range of rewards provided in return for points will be extensive and exciting.

“We have designed the programme to be one of the easiest and most rewarding ongoing initiatives of its kind, delivering a huge range of gifts and experiences,” said Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani, chairman Qtel.

Each and every time customers use Qtel services – whether making phone calls, sending SMS, watching Mozaic TV+ or surfing the Internet – they can receive Nojoom points.

As customers earn more Nojoom Points, they move from the entry level of ‘Nojoom Blue’ through to ‘Nojoom Silver’ and then to ‘Nojoom Gold’ Status.  The programme has been developed so that the higher the membership status a customer has, the more privileges they are entitled to.

Nojoom members will be able to redeem points at the Nojoom website at www.qtel.com.qa and gift Nojoom points to friends and family members.

“Qtel reviewed almost every reward scheme in the Middle East and interviewed over 1,000 customers to help make Nojoom into the strongest reward programme in the region. What we found was that our customers wanted a simple, straight-forward scheme that enabled them to get the rewards they most enjoy without having to go through a complex process,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
