AlFalak, BancTec ink distribution deal

Dubai, December 19, 2009

AlFalak Electronic Equipment and Supplies, a leading provider of technology-based solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with BancTec, a top provider of high-volume document and payment processing solutions.

AlFalak will officially distribute BancTec’s IntelliScan and E-Series high-speed document scanning and sorting equipment in Saudi Arabia.

The IntelliScan line of integrated solutions offers high-speed, high-volume, multi-application document processing at scanning speeds of up to 550 pages per minute, while featuring image-capturing capabilities of up to 600 dpi optical resolution, a statement said.

The E-Series family of document transport systems is highly suitable for payment processing centers that require reading and sorting speeds ranging from 600 to 1,700 documents per minute.

“This partnership significantly extends our range of solutions, especially into technologies that are being adopted by both government and private enterprises on a large scale,” said Basel Humaidah, general manager, AlFalak.

“As the biggest economy in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia offers huge potential for proven productivity equipment such as those developed by BancTec. Large organisations in particular will find these machines highly beneficial to their operations,” he added.

Darren Riley, sales manager, EMEA Emerging Markets, BancTec, said: “The ability of our technologies to enhance and economise document and payment processing complements efforts underway in Middle Eastern states such as Saudi Arabia to accelerate business and economic growth in order to maintain an edge in the Arab and global markets.”

“AlFalak’s solid market knowledge and broad customer base will help us introduce our portfolio to the region’s top productivity clients,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
