Zain Bahrain, a leading telecom service provider, has announced its sponsorship of the Bahrain Businesswomen Society's womengateway.com portal.

Company corporate communications manager Samya Hussein said the pioneering portal was providing news on perceptions of Bahraini and Arab women to the world.

She said Zain Bahrain aimed at contributing towards the cause through its support.

These include offering added value to society members such as special Zain services and products, said Hussein.

The company also aims to conduct social media management seminars at the society.

"We will also be conducting a telecom services seminar to add value to the message behind this portal," said Hussein.

Society and Women Gateway head Ghada Al Sayed said the company's help went a long way towards promoting Bahraini women's empowerment.

"Information is the currency of the new age," she said.
