Zain Bahrain warns on fake SMS

Manama, July 13, 2011

Zain Bahrain has issued a warning to its customers over fake SMS messages from a fraud SMS source.

The SMS claims that the customer has won a prize and asks them to call a number.

"We are concerned that customers are receiving these fake calls. Neither Zain nor any of our suppliers have sent these messages," said a Zain Bahrain spokesman.

"Customers are requested not to give their information or return calls from any SMS that promises a prize," the spokesman said.

To contact Zain Bahrain about persistent SMS of this nature, customers can call 107, the company’s 24x7 customer services center.

“Zain Bahrain urges customers to refer to Zain official sources and check the credibility of all information that they receive about winning prizes,” the company said. – TradeArabia News Service
