Elaf deploys Sermon’s ERP solutions

Amman, July 16, 2011

Elaf Medical Supplies, a leading Jordanian medical supplies provider, signed a bilateral agreement with Sermon Business Solutions, for deploying its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution.

Sermon’s ERP solution aims at assisting the company with managing its import and export operations and monitoring the items movement through the company’s different storages and supply centers.

The Microsoft Dynamics AX based system will also help Elaf in managing its buying and purchasing operations as well as its relations with suppliers and clients.

“We are pleased to add Elaf to our client list. We appreciate their trust in our solutions that now serve a wide range of regional institutions and companies,” said Omar Zaidan, Sermon’s CEO.

“We will employ our technical capabilities and expertise to provide Elaf with the applications it needs to develop its business and enhance its competitiveness.”

Zaidan added that the ERP system has the ability to issue accurate reports and key performance indicators, allowing companies to respond quickly and effectively to market changes, enabling them to identify patterns and recognize items profitability, unlike traditional systems.

He pointed to the criticality of the pharmaceutical sector, noting to the mechanism by which the company follows up on different stages of the commerce operation, starting from exporting the products, shipping, storing, expiration monitoring, ways of distributing to accounting and billing which can affect the company negatively if it lacked the ability to follow up on the smallest details by issuing specified reports to observe operations processes.

Elaf said that its decision to deploy the ERP system was made in efforts to develop its internal work system, to ensure providing its clients with the best services and strengthening its presence in the Jordanian market. – TradeArabia News Service
