InfoComm MEA to debut at Gitex

Dubai , October 3, 2011

InfoComm Middle East and Africa (MEA) 2011, a major event for IT specialists, AV system integrators and industry end-users in the region, is set to make its debut presentation at the upcoming Gitex Technology Week.

A joint collaboration between Dubai World Trade Centre and InfoComm International’s Asia Pacific subsidiary, InfoComm MEA 2011 is an effort by the international association of pro AudioVisual and information communication industries to help AV professionals and end-users in the region to keep abreast of latest developments and expand their skills and knowledge.

Many of the world’s leading AV companies and brands are among those taking part in the inaugural event at InfoComm MEA at Gitex, including AMX, Extron Cayin Technology, d&b audiotechnik, Hitachi, Mistubishi and Wolfvision, said the organisers.

Several others have chosen InfoComm MEA to launch new products into the region, they stated.

Jupiter Systems will present the new display wall processor, Fusion Catalyst 800; Creston will introduce the Digital Media 8G Receiver and Control Room; NMK bring the latest DSP solutions; and Sharp will showcase the most effective High Brightness display screens.

Corporations and organizations in the region have begun to realize the immense impact that AV technology can have on their businesses, said the organisers.

The American School in Qatar capital Doha installed Cabletime’s powerful IP-based solution for TV/AV content distribution to deliver audio and video facilities to more than 1300 students at multiple points across the huge campus, they noted.

These included the library, dining hall, computer and science labs, art studios, recreation and sports facilities and a 630-seat theatre.

In addition, learning opportunities are offered via the InfoComm MEA 2011 Summit program comprising InfoComm Academy Seminars and Industry Conferences, they added.-TradeArabia News Service
