Viva Kuwait has announced that it will be the exclusive sponsor of 15-year-old Abdulrahman Al Zanki, Kuwait’s youngest application developer.

Al Zanki is the developer behind the game ‘Doodle Destroy’, which he offers as a free download via Apple's iTunes website as an iPhone and iPad application. The game was first published in April 2010 and surpassed a million downloads in its first year.

The company will utilise Abdulrahman’s skills to help with the launch its recently announced Viva app club, which will be launched on April 15, the statement said. It will be a creative hub for young people between 13 to 18 years of age.

Viva will announce the registration dates and process for applicants wishing to join the exclusive club during the first week of April, it said.

The app club will host workshops which will be held on a bi-weekly basis, and include topics such as ‘basics of app development’ and ‘steps to create your own application’, it said. – TradeArabia News Service
