GRPS inks new mobile top-up deal

Global Reach Portal Services (GRPS) has announced a new tie up with TransferTo, a leading provider of international airtime transfer services and an an Ingenico Company, to provide global mobile top-up services to its customers. 
 
Also known as Reach, the GRPS said as per the deal, TransferTo will allow the customers of GRPS to send top-up credits for prepaid mobile phones to their loved ones, relatives and friends back home initially through any Al Fardan Exchange outlet in the UAE and eventually all agents of GRPS in the region.
 
The service will be available soon at all 40 outlets of Al Fardan Exchange. 
 
Osama Al Rahma, the GRPS chairman said, "Our tie-up with TransferTo will extend our services to a wider network of customers and it will strengthen our reach by adding new services that improve the lives of more people. We are pleased with this partnership with TransferTo and are looking forward to provide their customers a convenient, safe and secure payment option via the platform of GRPS." 
 
The UAE has an approximate of 7.5 million expats from 200 different nationalities, and it is considered as one of the best destinations for working and living, said a statement from GRPS. 
 
To avail the service at any agent outlet the sender needs to provide the mobile number of the recipient along with the selected top-up value, after making the necessary payment, the transfer will be processed in a real-time through 'TransferTo’s secure platform which is integrated with the GRPS application. Once the transaction is completed the recipient is notified by SMS about the top-up credits received, it stated.
