Du boosts managed services portfolio

Dubai, July 8, 2013

UAE-based telecom services operator du has strengthened its offerings in managed services space with the launch of its 'IT Management as a Service' in partnership with IT Max Global.

IT Management services account for more than 30 per cent of the overall IT budgets for corporates, said a statement from du.

The global market for IT Management Automation (Remote Infrastructure Management) is predicted to grow even higher in the next few years.

The solution delivers a cloud based IT management and helpdesk service on a pay-as-you-use model. The solution provides features such as proactive system monitoring, patch management, disaster recovery, IT auditing, IT policy management and antivirus management among other advanced features.

Announcing the launch, Hatem Bamatraf, executive VP (Enterprise Business) said: "A growing business cannot afford to have downtime and does not have time to spend significantly on ensuring proper maintenance of its network. There is a growing realisation in the market about the benefits of a managed client-server network but enough attention is not being paid to the maintenance aspect of such solutions."

"Our IT Management as a Service is a complete solution that ensures regular monitoring of the systems and proactively prevention of issues before they even occur. This lets businesses focus on what’s most important –their core business," stated Bamatraf.

He said the best-of-breed solutions from Kaseya, a market leader in IT management solutions for MSPs and mid-market enterprises, coupled with the experience of IT Max Global in delivering these solutions is a powerful combination to provide a superior user experience to our business customers.

Naji Salameh, the managing director of IT Max Global said, “Through our association with du, we look forward to provide reliable, secure, and cost-effective, 24/7/365 remote IT Management Services for both enterprises and small businesses."

"Our expertise in IT services frees up enterprise customers from having to worry about the different aspects of effective IT Management and eliminate unnecessary distractions and expenses allowing customers to focus on their core business," he noted.

Jon McNerney, the executive VP for EMEA sales, Kaseya, expressed delight at being selected as the framework for supporting the du project to deliver IT Management Services.

"It is an outstanding opportunity to work with a leading operator in this region that truly understands the value and benefits of providing an Automated Managed Service to its customers," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
