Du unveils special free minutes offer

Dubai, November 23, 2013

UAE telecom services operator du has launched an exciting free minutes promotion to boost its ‘My Number, My Identity’ campaign and get its customers to register before the deadline set by Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA).

This promotion was created by du in line with its commitment to the TRA’s ‘My Number, My Identity’ campaign.  All customers will have until January 16, 2014 to register their mobile numbers, said a statement from Du.

Customers who fail to register within the deadline will get their lines disconnected, it stated.

In order to speed up and make the registration process more convenient for its customers, du will setup more than 25 conveniently-located fulfilment centres across prominent shopping malls in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah.

Manned by du’s friendly and helpful staff, the fulfilment centres will ensure the registration process a hassle free one, it stated.

Commenting on the promotion, Fahad Al Hassawi, the chief commercial officer, said: “We are delighted to be launching this promotion – which aims to incentivise our customers to register their mobile numbers with their Emirates ID card.”

“Through this initiative, we are proud to be supporting the TRA and its efforts to protect customer interest and ensure utmost customer satisfaction. To avoid any inconvenience of disconnection I would like to, once again, urge our customers to please register their lines through our du Shops and authorized partner outlets or our fulfilment centres,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
