Thuraya Telecommunications, a leading mobile satellite services operator, has appointed Ahmad Mustafa Al Shareef as senior director of human resources and support operations.

In his new role, Al Shareef is responsible for managing employee relations and overseeing the procurement and administration divisions, said a statement.

He reports to Samer Halawi, chief executive officer and will serve as a member of the company’s leadership team.

Halawi said: “His experience in improving employee relations and developing cohesive HR policies is a strong asset for Thuraya as we focus on recruitment, employee engagement development, and talent management in the next phase of our transformation.”

Al Shareef’s experience includes working with senior executive teams to ensure that the company accomplishes its business plans over the short, medium and long term, said the statement.
