Batelco, a leading telecom provider in Bahrain, has signed an agreement with EK Kanoo, the exclusive distributor of Toyota and Lexus in the kingdom, to provide them with a trial backup solution utilising Batelco’s 4G LTE network.

With the delivery of this solution, Batelco has become the first telecom in the Bahrain to launch Backup over 4G LTE in the local market, a statement said.

The 4G LTE backup solution ensures business continuity in the rare case of a main link failure. Providing alternative methods for backup is industry best practice, enabling business customers to continue their operations should the need arise.

The solution features several benefits including provision of a different media for backup of Datacom services (MPLS & Inet), reduction of cost of extending a secondary link for backup, reduction of time needed for deployment by providing the customer with a temporary connectivity until the fibre link is available and accelerating business growth with a high- performance, highly available, and easily deployable solution, the statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
