Mobily inks new deal to offer IBM hardware

Riyadh, April 20, 2014

Mobily, a leading telecom operator in Saudi Arabia, recently signed a new agreement with IBM in addition to the current IBM-Mobily alliance, establishing Mobily as a tier 1 partner to provide certain IBM hardware products to the business sector.

This agreement will support Mobily’s growth strategy by diversifying the services provided to the business sector, in addition to providing organisations an end to end solution covering hardware, software, and connectivity through a one stop shop model.

Dr Marwan Al-Ahmadi, chief business officer at Mobily said that the agreement is in addition to the alliance between the two parties, which reflects positively the quality of services and products that are currently offered for the business sector.

Dr Al-Ahmadi indicated that Mobily relies heavily on the experience of its business sector customers for the development of products and services provided to them, and certainly the addition to the alliance through the provision of IBM hardware offerings is a living example of this trend, which is one of the GED strategy foundations.

He noted that the business sector has now become more aware of the trend that would bring the growth of its financial resources at the lowest cost, and to ensure that access to services and software and hardware from one source will achieve this goal.

The Mobily – IBM alliance supports Mobily’s transformation plan towards becoming an ICT company , also providing information security services to its customers from the private and public sectors. – TradeArabia News Service
