Kuwait premier survives key vote

Kuwait, June 23, 2011

Kuwait's prime minister survived a no-confidence vote against him in parliament on Thursday, according to a member of the assembly, after being questioned about favouring relations with Iran over other Gulf neigbours.

Earlier this month, 10 opposition lawmakers introduced a 'non-cooperation' motion after the house questioned Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, a nephew of the country's ruler.
