King lauds Bahrain-Thai relations

His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at Al Rawdha Palace, stressing Bahrain’s keenness on promoting economic, trade and investment co-operation between the two countries.

HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty and president of Supreme Council for Women were also present at the meeting.

The King underscored the importance of exchanging business visits to bolster co-operation and stressed the need for the private sector to benefit from their knowhow in setting up joint ventures.

Shinawatra expressed deep thanks and appreciation to the King for the warm welcome, stressing the importance of his recent visit to Thailand in promoting economic, trade and investment co-operation.

HRH the Premier welcomed the visit, which, he said, is in line with the continuous contacts and co-ordination distinguishing the two countries' relations.

The visit will enhance the already advanced level of co-operation between the two kingdoms in all fields, especially trade and investment ones.

The Premier said the visit reflects the joint desire to broaden the areas of co-operation between the counties so as to meet their friendly peoples' aspirations of further progress and prosperity. – TradeArabia News Service
