The "Qasr al Hosn Festival is a community event being organised by The Tourism and Culture Authority, Abu Dhabi (TCA-AD) from February 28 to March 9.

Franco Dragone has been commissioned by the TCA-AD to create a unique show about Abu Dhabi’s rich historic past of more than 250 years through a specular artistic performance.

Fusing culture and tradition with artistic disciplines, ‘Story of a Fort, Legacy of a Nation’ offers an unforgettable combination of music, performance and special effects for viewers. Ticket prices for show starts from Dh250 ($68), said the organisers.

In addition to using an international cast filled with dancers, acrobats and gymnasts, ‘Story of a Fort, Legacy of a Nation’ will collaborate with a select group of Emirati talent to take part in this once in a lifetime showcase.

“The story of Abu Dhabi is a remarkable one which is why we have partnered with Franco Dragone and his artistic team for the Qasr al Hosn Festival. Commonly known as the ‘world’s most spectacular show maker’, Franco is arguably one of the most talented story-tellers around which is fitting given the magnitude of this national celebration," explained Faisal Al Sheikh, festival director, and events manager, TCA-AD.

Set in a purpose-built theatre, the show will take the audience through a historical journey complete with dazzling costumes, breath-taking special effects and acrobatics on a scale simply unseen in the Middle East, said the official.

"Any occasion where the nation comes together in celebration of their history, culture and tradition is immensely important. Qasr al Hosn is exactly that and as show producers, we are acutely aware of how significant this event is to the people of Abu Dhabi," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
