UK football legend set to visit Bahrain

Former England international footballer Stuart Pearce will visit Bahrain next month for a speaking engagement ahead of this summer's Fifa World Cup.
The former England under-21 manager, who also managed the Great Britain football team at the 2012 Olympics, will offer insights into his playing and managerial career during his talk at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence and Spa on April 10, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
Retired boxing champion Joe Calzaghe was originally due to appear at the event, but had to withdraw "due to unforeseen circumstances", according to organisers.
Tickets for the event cost BD25 ($65.5) and include dinner, entertainment by a British comedian, a raffle and a football and boxing memorabilia auction.
