Dubai, June 29, 2014

OSN, a leading pay-TV network in the Mena region, is offering a portfolio of more than 40 Arabic-subtitled international channels.

With over 20 subtitled movie channels, eight TV series channels, 12 factual and lifestyle channels and two channels fully dubbed into Arabic, OSN has the largest line-up of dual-language options for viewers across the region, said a statement.

The newest addition to OSN’s portfolio of dubbed channels is Investigation Discovery (ID), which brings real life dramas to life through the eyes of experts, witnesses and family members featuring incredible investigations and heart-breaking mysteries that will challenge your understanding of culture, society and the human condition.

OSN viewers can now choose to watch ID in English or dubbed in Arabic from July 1.

Emad Morcos, senior vice president - Business Development & Digital, OSN, said: “Our research shows high demand for localised content and we are committed to offering exceptional television experiences to our subscribers. Providing popular television channels with Arabic dubbing and easy-to-follow subtitles has a key role, as it enables viewers to follow their favourite channel without losing the essence of the content.

“ID is a fantastic channel and is extremely popular among viewers in the region. We are extremely proud to offer this premium channel in dual language for our Arabic viewers.”

James Gibbons, SVP Emerging Business, Discovery Networks Ceemea, said: “Investigation Discovery is one of our most popular channels globally and has proven just as successful with our Middle Eastern viewers, who have been captivated by its stories of mystery and suspense. We are pleased to be working together with OSN to offer our local audiences the chance to enjoy ID’s gripping and engaging content in dual languages for the first time.”

Other Arabic subtitled factual and lifestyle channels on OSN include Discovery Channel HD; Discovery World; Discovery Science HD; Animal Planet HD; Disney Channel; TLC HD; Food Network; Nat Geo HD; Nat Geo Wild; and Nat Geo People.
