'Disney Live' makes Gulf debut

Global Village, a member of Tatweer, will bring ‘Disney Live! presents Mickey’s Magic Show’ to Dubai, a magical on-stage production showcasing a never-seen-before combination of master magician Mickey Mouse and the ever-dazzling Minnie.

The show will be staged thrice a day at the Dubai Airport Expo from May 15 to 26.

Categorised as Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Platinum, the tickets  priced at Dh65 onwards will be on sale later this month. Sama Dubai TV, is the official media partner of the event.

Addressing a press conference, Abdul Redha Ali Bin Redha, CEO, Global Village, said the high visitor turnout that Global Village witnesses year after year 'has prompted us to bring the Disney show to Dubai, complementing our identity as a venue for diverse entertainment and retail components.'
 
“Apart from adding another exciting dimension to Dubai’s entertainment portfolio, it also confirms our endeavour to contribute to the tourism objectives of the UAE.”

The Disney show has toured over 40,000 miles, with more than 550 performances in 42 cities around the world. The UAE show will mark its debut in the GCC.

Disney Live! presents Mickey’s Magic Show features grand illusions and favourite Disney characters, including Donald and Goofy; Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother; Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter; and beloved Disney princesses Jasmine, Belle and Snow White, who will, together showcase a stunning sequence of magical acts.

The Show features the work of famed illusion designer Jim Steinmeyer, who boasts over 20 years of world class experience working with leading magicians such as David Copperfield, Lance Burton and Siegfried & Roy.

In its 80-day season, Global Village received 4.5 million visitors. Its new attractions included the 143,200 sq ft water canal and an exciting range of daily shows and events such as the Aquatic Fantasy Show, the Vertical Show, The Big Drum, the Jumper Show, the Percussion Parade and HIT Entertainment Show.

The Ruffi Hummer Promotion and Universal Studios Promotion served as yet another crowd puller at the popular family destination.-TradeArabia News Service
