Emirates Gas joins UAE clean-up campaign

Volunteers from Emirates Gas, a subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc), participated in the annual ‘Clean Up UAE 2009’ campaign organised by Emirates Environment Group.

The campaign aimed at promoting general awareness among members of the community on sustainable environmental protection practices that assure safer, cleaner and 'greener' environment for generations to come.

‘Clean Up UAE 2009’ was staged at various locations to cover the vast and diverse landscapes in the UAE. Thirty-five employees from Emirates Gas supported the campaign by cleaning up in Dubai Investment Park area. The company’s volunteers engaged in a range of activities, including clean up of local streets and landscapes.

“Emirates Gas is privileged to give back to the society and take part in this campaign, which comes in line with our continuous efforts to encourage environment-friendly practices to enhance the quality of life of residents in Dubai and the UAE,” said Hesham Ali Mustafa, general manager, Emirates Gas.

Over 15,000 volunteers have participated in the campaign from all over the UAE till date.-TradeArabia News Service
