India road shows to highlight Bahrain advantages

Manama, August 17, 2010

Bahrain-based Hilal Conferences & Exhibitions (HCE) is conducting a three-day road show in India starting on Wednesday (August 18).

The road show will highlight opportunities in the multi-billion dollar Gulf economies and raise awareness of Bahrain’s role as a prime gateway to the region.

HCE representatives will deliver high-level briefings and presentations to Indian business leaders, entrepreneurs, chambers of commerce, export promotion councils and more than 120 prominent companies in New Delhi and Bangalore.

HCE conference director Ahmed Suleiman said: “The combined value of the 100 largest projects either completed or underway in the last two years in the GCC is more than $1.3 trillion. The road show will promote Bahrain’s unrivalled access to these markets via HCE’s flagship trade exhibitions and conferences.

“HCE is also promoting to the business audience of one of world’s fastest growing economies the entrepot status and reputation of Bahrain. HCE’s vision is to work alongside the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Economic Development Board to promote Bahrain and its economic potential. Bahrain has the potential to become the ‘Davos of the Middle East’, a place where minds meet at world-class conferences and exhibitions to exchange knowledge and do business.”

HCE’s activities are aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy to encourage economic development. The private sector is the catalyst for global economic development. By highlighting the commercial benefits of HCE shows to exhibitors and visitors around the world, it offers a valuable showcase for the business community of Bahrain and the Northern Gulf.

Every year, HCE organises in Bahrain the Gulf Industry Fair, to be next held from February 8 to 10, 2011, and gulfBID and gulfINTERIORS exhibitions, to be next held from April 26 to 28, 2011. These trade shows are considered the leading business-to-business exhibitions of their type in the Northern Gulf, providing participants with a springboard into the region.

The exhibitions are complemented by high-level forums which attract government ministers, captains of industry, business leaders and entrepreneurs who discuss topics relevant to the Gulf economies and the wider world.

The HCE team will be in New Delhi on August 18 and in Bangalore on August 19 and 20. - TradeArabia News Service
