Legendary goalkeeper to visit Bahrain

Manama, April 6, 2014

A legendary Manchester United goalkeeper will be in Bahrain this week.

Peter Schmeichel will be celebrating the launch of Viva Bahrain community development programme’s fourth season of the Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS), said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Wednesday’s event will be held in the centre hall at Bahrain City Centre at 5.30pm, where fans will have the chance to get his autograph.

Schmeichel played 229 games for Manchester United during his eight-year career and was capped 129 times for the Danish national team between 1987 and 2001, famously helping the team win the European Championships in 1992.

The MUSS programme is aimed at talented 13 to 15-year-old boys and girls who are passionate about football, and will showcase their skills and talent. - TradeArabia News Service
