Bahrain firm to market hitech security systems

Manama, June 17, 2014

Bahrain's MHS Technologies and UK-based Proline have signed an agreement with MacroScope, a leading Russian company, to market its hitech security systems in the kingdom.

These hi-tech products are in the range of $50 to more than $10,000 and are said to perform a wide range of functions from preventing vehicle thefts and tracing missing luggage to recognising car registration plates and even sabotage prevention, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

The officials of Macroscop, MHS Technologies and Proline signed the MoU at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence and Spa, under the patronage of Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro.

It follows a visit to Moscow by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, in April.

MHS Technologies chairman Mohammed Sajid said the company aims to achieve a sales target of $5 million over the next 12 months.

"The capability of this new system and its technology will help the business, defence, security and other sectors in Bahrain," he added.

Macroscop chief executive Artem Razumkov said the company's technology could identify up to 65,000 people in a crowd in real time.

"The new system can be used for malls, factories, banks, hospitals and big buildings as it helps count people in clusters and notify the user if the number of people in a zone has exceeded its limit," revealed Razumkov.

"We feel there is a strong market in the Gulf region for our products and intend to share our technology with the Bahrain firm to provide security solutions to commercial, government and other entities," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
