EMS joins ‘Every Drop Counts’ rally

Amman, December 24, 2008

Energy Management Services International LLC (EMS) participated through three of its team members in the ‘Every Drop Counts’ 2008 Initiative's bike rally.

EMS is the first company to provide energy management solutions (ESCo) in the Middle East and this latest move is in line with its dedication to being an active member of the community and spreading public awareness on environmental issues, according to a Press release issued by the company's PR firm.

The event was held in Amman to coincide with the International Action Day Against Climate Change. The 20-km bike ride was taken up by cyclists from various environmentally-conscious companies, institutions and citizens.

The notable one-day event was organised by the Campaign Against Climate Change UK (CACC) and the Call to Action Jordan movement in collaboration with the Greater Amman Municipality, Tareef Cycling Club and German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), to encourage Arab and world leaders to take stronger action against global warming and climate change issues.

NGOs, governmental institutes, private sector companies and individuals from over 70 countries participated in this International event.

As a energy efficiency, green building and renewable energy consultancy firm based in Dubai, UAE and Amman, Jordan, EMS actively promotes environmentally-friendly and cost-effective solutions in the Jordanian and Gulf markets by offering Green Building and Smart Property Solutions (SPS) that involve converting new and existing buildings to ones that are energy efficient, environmentally friendly, and accredited by the US Green Building Council, qualifying them for LEED certification. – TradeArabia News Service
