Porsche features 25 new models at roadshow

Dubai, February 14, 2011

Porsche Centre Dubai, Al Nabooda Automobiles, showcased the complete line-up of 25 Porsche 2011 models at a recently concluded roadshow in Dubai.

The third Porsche World Road Show, spread across nine days from February 4 to 12 at the Dubai Autodrome, witnessed around 400 Porsche enthusiasts.

The models included the Panamera Turbo with 500 hp, the 320 hp Boxster Spyder and the new and much sought after 408 hp Porsche Carrera GTS 911, among others.

“Our aim is to allow enthusiasts to experience a Porsche in its natural surroundings, the sporting environment of a track. We also want them to understand the importance of harnessing power with safety,” said Vijay Rao, general manager at Porsche Centre Dubai, Al Nabooda Automobiles.

“Porsche Centre Dubai plays a vital role in the overall global retail strategy of Porsche.  As of the end of 2010, our operation retained its number one position as ‘largest retail dealer’ globally for the seventh year in succession.”

“Innovative driving experiences such as the Porsche World Road Show contribute towards our sales strategy while at the same time developing brand awareness and ensure a first-hand experience of the Porsche offerings,” he added.

The objective of the event was to test drive the Porsche model range under the guidance of a team of professional instructors from Germany.

Invited guests had all their questions answered and were professionally trained on mastering the challenging driving techniques, both on and off-the-road through modules that included off-roading, breaking, handling and slalom exercises, a statement said.

The event included an introduction to Porsche history and a session where prospects learnt about the opportunities to ‘custom-build’ a Porsche via the company's exclusive tailoring programme. – TradeArabia News Service
