New Chevrolet Malibu set to make Mideast debut

Dubai, November 6, 2011

The all-new Chevrolet Malibu, a midsize sedan, will make its regional debut at the Dubai International Motor Show on November 10.

The new Malibu is engineered to be best-in-class and on par with more expensive sports sedans, a company statement said.

Benefiting from continuous refinement of an award-winning global architecture, engineers have tested, tuned and calibrated the Malibu on rural roads, highways, and GM validation facilities around the world, it said.

“A wider stance, broad shoulders and an integrated rear spoiler bring a new athleticism to Malibu and give it a more aggressive appearance,” it said.

Other exterior design cues include Chevrolet’s dual-port grille, projector HID headlamps, larger Chevrolet bow-tie badges front and rear, and new Camaro-inspired LED dual-element tailamps.

“The new Malibu’s interior was designed to bring an element of sophistication to everyday driving, featuring an all-new dual cockpit design that creates an inviting, roomy and comfortable environment.  It also offers a full range of the latest entertainment options, including new color radio systems and an available navigation system,” the company said.

The new Malibu will be one of the best-equipped vehicles in the segment in terms of safety features, it said.
