BIC lines up top prizes for weekly draws

Manama, December 23, 2012

Top prizes are up for grabs today as Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) holds the first of its weekly raffle draws as part of the 'Early Bird' promotion for tickets to the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix next year.

An electronic raffle will be held at the BIC premises in Sakhir in the presence of BIC officials and an Industry and Commerce Ministry representative.

Winners will come away with prizes like iPhones, iPads, BIC Xperience packages and return air tickets to Dubai. Those who have already purchased tickets to the Grand Prix are entered into today's draw. They are also automatically entered into the grand raffle draw for a chance to win a Mini Cooper JCW, which will be held at the end of the 'Early Bird' promotion period on January 31.

The offer is made possible by BIC, "The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East", and its official partners. The iPhones and iPads are provided by Batelco, return air tickets by Algosaibi Travel, and the Mini Cooper JCW by Euro Motors. The BIC Xperience packages are courtesy of BIC.

Today's winners will be contacted by BIC and must collect their prizes tomorrow night from the BIC stand at Bahrain City Centre. BIC's Early Bird discount offers a 15 per cent reduction on all tickets to next year's F1 event.

Tickets are being sold at the BIC stands at Bahrain City Centre and Seef Mall. Tickets can be bought for seats along BIC's Main Grandstand, Batelco Grandstand, Turn One Grandstand, University Grandstand and Victory Grandstand.

After the 15 per cent discount, tickets to the Main Grandstand will cost BD153 ($406.91) for all three days of the Grand Prix. A ticket for Race Day alone costs BD131.750 under the Early Bird discount.

Tickets to the Batelco Grandstand cost BD102 for all three days and BD89.250 for Race Day.

At the Turn One Grandstand, tickets cost BD68 for the weekend and BD59.500 for Race Day. University Grandstand tickets cost BD55.250 over three days while a Race Day pass costs BD46.750. The Victory Grandstand tickets cost BD42.500 for the entire weekend and BD34 for Race Day.

Three-day ticket holders will be able to enjoy exclusive activities, such as a Pit Lane Walk on the Thursday afternoon of the Grand Prix. The Early Bird discount also covers Friday Roaming Tickets, which gives the holder the opportunity to move around the circuit freely and watch the weekend's practice sessions from any of the strategically located grandstands. After the 15 per cent reduction, the roaming ticket costs BD55.

The 2013 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix will be held on April 19, 20 and 21 at the BIC. – TradeArabia News Service
